For her second opera, the award-winning composer Unsuk Chin was inspired by the life and work of the physicist Wolfgang Pauli – pioneer of quantum physics, Nobel Prize winner and temporary professor in Hamburg – and his relationship with the psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. A faustian opera of the 20th and 21st centuries.
