What does home sound like? Based on the opera production Ruslan and Lyudmila by Mikhail Glinka, the encounter format VDOMA / Bдома (“at home”) invites people from Hamburg who have fled Ukraine to reflect together on the melodies, language, songs and everyday sounds of the home they left behind. What is your favorite song? Which children's song do you remember? What sounds describe Ukraine? Whether from Odessa, Kharkiv or Lviv: in intergenerational workshops, up to 20 participants come together over several weeks to let the cultural diversity of Ukraine resound and contribute their own individual perspectives. Together with members of the Hamburg State Opera ensemble, they will create a personal collage of music and texts that will be presented at the opera stabile.
